BoAjjang's subtitling team regularly creates exclusive HQ (high-quality) English subtitles for various videos, predominately of BoA. Here is a listing of the public releases to date from BoAjjang.
Hard vs. Soft Subs: A hard sub is encoded onto the video itself; it is played as any normal video would be. A soft sub is an addon to the video. A soft sub was made only for RELEASE #01; all subsequent releases are hard subs. RELEASE #01 is no longer distributed because we no longer make soft subs and RELEASE #04 was redone in RELEASE #15 and thus no longer distributed.
We understand that our filenames are quite long and tedious. Here is our reasoning behind it. First of all, our naming structure is:
[BoAjjang]_RELEASE_#00_[YYYY-MM-DD]_BoA_-_Performance_or_
Interview_Title_(Channel/Network)_[CRC]
- [BoAjjang] is just giving the credits to us.
- The RELEASE_#00 prefix is there to maintain a chronological order of the releases since the [YYYY-MM-DD] will never be in any chronological order (since some releases are made faster than others despite the date they are aired on TV).
- The [YYYY-MM-DD] is the date of when the interview/performance was aired (most likely in Korea or Japan) and NOT the release date.
- BoA_-_Performance_or_Interview_Title is pretty self explanatory.
- (Channel/Network) is the Network station that aired the interview or performance.
- [CRC] is again pretty self explanatory.
As of August 27th, 2006, BoAjjang Subtitles will be on a donation drive for exactly one month to help with costs associated with hosting our releases. All donations received will be used solely for the purpose of BoAjjang Subtitles. Please read our post for more details.
